Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) seeks a Flight Nurse in Kauai, HI, to join a team of air transport experts. You will transport patients safely to and from medical facilities, including scene call work, while upholding high safety standards.

Responsibilities include assessing critical cases, monitoring patients, and maintaining a clean aircraft environment. Must hold an RN license, CFRN within 24 months, and current emergency/trauma certifications and training.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as an RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage the critically ill or injured pediatric or adult patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment and comply with safety standards and briefings.
• Coordinate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners in a professional manner.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.
