Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• CPA certification highly preferred.
• 3+ years of audit experience, preferably with exposure to AEC clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the audit team and clients to plan and design audit procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing standards.
• Assess and identify financial risks and recommend controls to mitigate risks for AEC clients.
• Lead audit fieldwork, including testing of financial statements, internal controls, and transactional data.
• Establish and maintain relationships with AEC clients, communicating audit findings and recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare clear audit reports, highlighting material weaknesses or deficiencies in financial reporting and suggesting solutions.
• Ensure AEC client compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards, such as revenue recognition and percentage of completion accounting.
• Stay updated on industry accounting and auditing standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to AECs.
• Provide guidance, supervision, and training to junior staff and review their work.
• Monitor budget and resources for audit engagements to ensure timely completion within budget.
• Identify opportunities to enhance audit processes and develop best practices for AEC audits.
