Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking an Evening Reporting Center Advocate to serve youth and families across Harris County, including Houston. This part-time hourly role offers $20 per hour, non-exempt status, and weekly pay with mileage and activity reimbursement. Flexible evenings and weekends.

You will provide direct advocacy services using a wraparound approach, with emphasis on reliability, communication, and community resources.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field preferred.
• Experience with at-risk youth and families in community, school and home settings.
• Experience in community-based services and knowledge of community resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and using computers.
• Experience using an EHR system is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• Develop service plans based on a strength-based wraparound model.

Summary of the Position

Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout Harris County are available for the Evening Reporting Center

• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
• The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Position offers weekly pay, direct deposit, mileage, and activity reimbursement.

Availability

Flexible non-traditional hours - may require evenings and weekends

Qualifications/Requirements
