Job summary

United Talent LLC in Charleston, WV is looking for an Advocate to support a local client. The role involves direct and systems advocacy, outreach to facilities and locations serving the population, and monitoring polling sites across the state. Travel throughout West Virginia is required, including overnights.

Qualifications

• Excellent report writing and communication skills required.
• Travel throughout the state for duties and training.
• ADA knowledge is a plus; a bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

United Talent is immediately hiring an Advocate for a company in Charleston WV!

Job Duties include:

• direct advocacy
• systems advocacy
• outreach and monitoring facilities and other locations that provide services to this population
• monitoring of polling sites throughout the state of WV.
• The position requires extensive travel.

Pay and Shift:

Monday – Friday 8am -5pm, pay starts at $17

Requirements:

• Travel throughout the state is required, including overnight stays, with occasional out-of-state travel for training.
• Applicants must have excellent report writing and communication skills to effectively interact with varying populations, including people with disabilities,
• the ability to measure and calculate accessibility requirements, and knowledge of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) is a plus
• It is preferred but not required that applicants have a bachelor’s degree and experience working with people with disabilities.
