Job summary

Voices for Children in San Diego County is seeking an Advocacy Supervisor to lead and support CASA volunteers. You will supervise a caseload of 40–50 CASAs, coordinate court-related advocacy, and ensure volunteers have the resources and training they need to advocate for the best interests of each foster child.

This role requires a college degree or equivalent, strong writing and editing skills, and the ability to travel across San Diego County.

Qualifications

• College Degree or equivalent (relevant experience in volunteer management, social work, case management, or related field).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Access to reliable transportation for frequent travel throughout San Diego County.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to CASAs in the exercise of their duties.
• Maintain monthly contact with all volunteers and keep detailed records.
• Conduct annual evaluations with each volunteer and file the written record.
• Assist with volunteer recruitment, training and retention efforts.
• Promote the mission of Voices for Children in the community.
• Attend court hearings with or in place of CASA volunteers as necessary.
• Ensure policy and procedures are followed by all volunteers.
