Job summary

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) in Oakland, CA is seeking an Advocacy Fellow to support CEO’s Advocacy Leadership Committee (ALC). You will draw on your experience as an ALC member to help develop the next cohort of organizers-in-training and participate in the Emerging Leaders Program leading toward a University of Michigan certificate in Social Justice for Community Organizing.

Fellowships last about six months in a hybrid setting, with most work remote and in-office

Responsibilities

• Convene, facilitate, moderate, and instruct the training sessions for each cohort of CEO’s anchor organizing training program (ALC).
• Assist with planning and coordination of ALC cohorts, including recruitment and preparation of members.
• Prepare and distribute materials to ALC members locally and remotely.
• Support knowledge sharing by recognizing ALC members as experts and champions of change.
• Document engagement activities in Salesforce or Google Sheets as directed.
