Job summary

The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank seeks a Policy and Advocacy Manager to drive policy change and empower neighbor voices across central and western Virginia. You will oversee an issue portfolio focused on reducing food insecurity and tell BRAFB’s story to policymakers at local, state, and federal levels.

You will collaborate across teams, manage advocacy strategies, and build trusted relationships with elected officials and community partners while coordinating travel across BRAFB’s region to

Qualifications

• Experience in policy/advocacy initiatives at state/local level.
• Strong research and writing skills; ability to explain complex policy issues to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional campaigns and collaborate across teams.
