Job summary

Kreischer Miller is seeking a Manager in the Small Business Advisory department to lead integrated tax, accounting, and advisory engagements. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, supervising staff, and driving practice growth.

Travel to client sites in the greater Philadelphia area is anticipated as needed. The ideal candidate will have a CPA and 6–8 years of public accounting experience, with a track record in privately held and owner-operated businesses, and a commitment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA license or equivalent preferred.
• Six to eight years of public accounting experience with exposure to tax and accounting services.
• Experience managing client relationships, reviewing workpapers, supervising staff, and handling complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate client fieldwork, information requests, engagement schedules, and deadlines with clients and staff.
• Review accounting workpapers, financial statements, footnotes, and related deliverables for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate tax information gathering, year-end planning, and tax return workflows.
• Review tax returns and supporting workpapers for technical accuracy and consistency with standards.
• Research technical tax and accounting topics and present practical conclusions to clients and leadership.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day relationship manager for assigned clients and coordinate with internal teams.
• Monitor engagement economics, billing, and follow up on open invoices or billing matters.
• Identify opportunities for client efficiencies and broader advisory support.
