Qualifications

• 6-8 years of recent tax experience in public accounting; capable of functioning at the manager level.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws with progression in return complexity and research.
• Commitment to excellence, client service and professional growth; staff development ability.
• Ability to manage multiple tax projects while building teams and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage client relationships and collaborate with Audit & Accounting, Tax Strategies, Transaction Advisory & Business Valuation, and Technology Solutions teams.
• Coordinate concurrent tax projects with leading companies, mentor staff, and implement new processes.
• Grow the client base by identifying new business opportunities within specialized industry groups.
• Review tax returns, conduct planning and research, and handle audits with federal and state/local authorities.
• Review analyses of complex returns across entity types and client structures; exercise sound judgment on routine issues.
• Makes decisions on all but the most unusual situations.
