Job summary

Columbus McKinnon Corporation is seeking an Advisor, Talent Acquisition to execute the company’s recruiting functions at both hands-on and strategic levels. The role focuses on cultivating quality hires, building an emerging talent pool, and promoting an employment brand aligned with Columbus McKinnon culture as the organization grows.

The position will manage full lifecycle hourly recruiting and will be responsible for continuously building strong networks and developing innovative sourcing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in recruiting required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in full lifecycle recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on staffing strategy and ensure the successful delivery of all ongoing talent acquisition processes.
  • Develop and implement processes for an efficient and high-touch hiring experience from application through offer.
  • Manage the requisition process from approval to onboarding and guide hiring managers through selection.
  • Leverage online recruiting sources and in-house applicant tracking system to identify and recruit talent.
  • Source, interview and recommend the best talent for all positions within the company.
  • Create, prepare and extend offers to potential candidates.
  • Provide feedback throughout the interview and selection process to advise and influence hiring managers.
  • Create and implement employment marketing strategies to build Columbus McKinnon people brand and attract passive job seekers.
  • Assist the manager in strategizing for go-to-market initiatives (university outreach, campus recruiting) to build candidate pipeline.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write accurate job descriptions and postings; maintains current descriptions on SharePoint.
  • Conduct regular follow-up meetings with hiring managers to ensure timeliness and effectiveness of recruitment.
  • Build data, reporting and insights to measure impact of talent acquisition processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders including universities and professional organizations.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to address challenges and streamline recruitment processes.
  • Initiate and maintain excellent relations with business and HR partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute on staffing strategy and ensure the successful delivery of all ongoing talent acquisition processes.
  • Develop and implement processes which provide an efficient and high-touch hiring experience for every candidate from application stage to offer, evaluating skill level, driving the interview process, selection, offer process and closing of candidates.
  • Manage the requisition process from approval to on-boarding driving guiding hiring managers through the selection process.
  • Leverage online recruiting sources and in-house applicant trackingsystemtoidentifyand recruit talent.
  • Source,interviewand recommend the best talent for all positions within the company.
  • Create,prepareand extend all offers to potential candidates.
  • Provideappropriate feedbackthroughout the interview and selection process toadviseand influence hiring managers, ensuring an overall effective hire.

  • Through proactive direct sourcing, advertising, networking and referrals, build a network of selected and targeted prospective candidates.
  • Develop andmaintainstrong relationships with internal partners as well as external users and partners including university faculty, student groups, alumni groups, professionalorganizations.
  • Identifyand recommend solutions to address challenges and/or opportunities and to streamline and improve recruiting processes.
  • Initiate andmaintainexcellent relations withthe businessand HR partners.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Human Resources or equivalent work experience .

2 + years’ experience in recruiting required .
