Job summary

Principal Financial Group in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Advisor Relationship Associate to provide essential services and support to financial professionals for acquiring and retaining retirement business. You will partner with Advisor Relationship colleagues to deliver excellent service and act as a key contact for advisors and their staff.

You will coordinate with internal partners, manage investment and fee changes in Salesforce, and seek process improvements using Excel and other Office

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 2+ years in the retirement industry.
• Experience working in customer care and/or directly with Advisors.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to interpret needs from business partners and external clients, with good organizational skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team, handle pressure and deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; resourceful and solution oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide fundamental services and support to financial professionals to acquire new business and serve, grow and retain retirement business.
• Coordinate with Advisor Care teammates as a key contact to the advisor and their staff; ensure deliverables are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with internal partners and manage investment and fee change processes; create and maintain Salesforce documentation.
• Leverage technology to improve efficiency; maintain proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote and other programs; identify process improvements.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for designated topics; participate in team meetings and training initiatives.
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
