Enbridge Inc. is seeking an Advisor Physical Security to support access control, intrusion, and video management systems across sites in a hybrid work setting. You will design, implement, and troubleshoot security solutions while guiding contractors through project lifecycles.

We are looking for an Advisor Physical Security who will be responsible for supporting Enterprise Security access control, intrusion and video management system design and administration. This will include configuration management, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity as well as designing and managing contractors through the project lifecycle. You will work in a collaborative environment with a dynamic team of professionals that are passionate about protecting our people, the corporation and its assets and facilities.
Provide onsite and remote technical assistance to locations for all their physical security technology needs. Using your Advanced technical knowledge on how access control, camera systems, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) are installed, wired and function, you will engage with internal and external teams and build out the Genetec program for those sites. Collaborate with internal teams to get network, computer and accounts provisioned. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to assess and resolve security system issues by diagnosing the issues remotely then developing and executing a remediation plan. Using your field knowledge as well as Enbridge standards and specifications, you will need to assess the quality of the installation and then prepare a deficiency report. Proficient with Bluebeam or similar Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools that will be used to update and develop as built and typical drawings. Read and interoperate blueprints and programming sheets.
7+ years of relevant experience in physical security systems, programming, administration, integration, or related fields. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered. Bachelors degree preferred but not required if have at least 7 years of relatable experience. Hands-on experience with physical security systems, including access control, digital and analog video surveillance, visitor management and intrusion detection. Leads with Ethics and Integrity. Agile growth mindset that can manage multiple people, projects, tasks and communications simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Organized and efficient at time and task management. This security-sensitive role will require the successful candidate to complete both standard and enhanced background screenings. These screenings will recur periodically for as long as the successful candidate remains in a security-sensitive position, in accordance with Company policies and regulatory requirements.
Office environment. Limited travel (25%) required within Canada and United States. Valid passport is recommended, but not required to apply. Fast-paced work environment, requiring balancing the constraints of multiple simultaneous projects with hard deadlines and the needs of a significant number of stakeholders. Be available for off-hours contact to provide support for critical issues. Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
