Job summary

Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is seeking an Advisor Onboarding Consultant to assist new financial professionals as they convert their practices to Cambridge. The Transition team provides training on Cambridge processes and practices.

You will build relationships, tailor transition plans, coordinate with departments, deliver training on products and policies, and support management and associates with timely information and escalated issues to improve efficiency and candidate experience.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and to present information effectively to associates, managers, customers, and small groups.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and probability, and to apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule-based instructions.
  • Proficiency with database software, email, internet software, spreadsheets and macros, word processing, and department-specific proprietary software.
  • Clear, professional, and courteous written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently, influence others, and guide a group or individual toward task completion.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills, including the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with financial professionals by understanding their basic business needs, answering inquiries, and communicating company procedures clearly.
  • Review the business mix of financial professionals to develop a tailored transition plan, and provide support for an efficient, successful transition experience.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact during the onboarding process and throughout the transition, coordinating with other departments, and connecting financial professionals with internal resources as needed.
  • Organize, prepare, and deliver training sessions on products, services, procedures, and policies, while maintaining current training materials for reference.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by following up on open action items, responding to questions in a timely manner, and providing requested information to management, associates, and financial professionals.
  • Recognize opportunities to improve user experience and assist in refining processes that support more efficient workflows.
  • Assist financial professionals with escalated issues through guided support, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex processes.
  • Support Transition Leadership in planning and executing projects designed to improve efficiency and contribute to positive internal and external experiences.
  • Actively learn about key industry topics, internal programs, technology solutions, and Cambridge product lines.

  • Two or more years of related experience, education, and/or training.
