Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking an Advisor I, Terminal Butane Blending to support the Terminal Butane Blending and Propane Market team. You will provide analytical and commercial support across daily operations, reporting, systems, and process improvement.

You will work cross-functionally with Commercial, Midstream Operations, and other partners to enhance visibility, execution, and decision-making, plus assist with planning, scheduling, and invoicing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 1+ year of commercial, trading, operations, analytics, or related experience in the energy industry
• Intermediate or greater proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with dashboards, data visualization, reporting automation, or related data tools
• Experience with SAP or a comparable commercial system, or the ability to learn these systems quickly
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate across functions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with project analysis, economics modeling, or business development
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, attention to detail, and continuous-improvement mindset

Responsibilities

• Support daily monitoring of terminal activities, inventory, operating performance, and material issues.
• Communicate issues and coordinate follow-up with operations and commercial partners.
• Assist with supply, demand, inventory, and seasonal planning activities.
• Assist with daily and month-end position, P&L, volume, and inventory reconciliations.
• Prepare reports, build dashboards, and improve recurring data and reporting processes.
• Support scheduling, trading, customer, invoicing, and back-office activities.
• Support analysis and economic evaluation of butane blending and related business projects.
• Document processes and contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Complete ad hoc analysis and other responsibilities that support the team’s business priorities.
• Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.

Advisor I, Terminal Butane Blending supports the Terminal Butane Blending and Propane Market team within the Commercial NGL Trading Group. The Advisor provides broad analytical and commercial support across daily operations, reporting, systems, and process improvement. What You’ll Bring - Required

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 1 or more year(s) of commercial, trading, operations, analytics, or related experience in the energy industry
• Intermediate or greater proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with dashboards, data visualization, reporting automation, or related data tools

• Degree in engineering, finance, economics, business, supply chain, computer science, or a related field
• Experience with NGL markets, terminal operations, commodity trading, scheduling, risk, or commercial analytics
• Experience with SAP or a comparable commercial system, or the ability to learn these systems quickly

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $96,300 – $117,700.

Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements. We do this by maximizing general interest profitability, enhancing return on capital employed by successfully partnering with the Refining, Transportation and Marketing functions to ensure Value Chain Integration. Our truck and rail fleets support our feedstock and distribution operations. Rail movements are provided via a fleet of more than 10,000 owned and leased rail cars. Truck movements are provided through numerous third‑party trucking companies, as well as through our 100 percent‑owned subsidiary, Sentinel Transportation LLC.
