The College of Southern Nevada is seeking an Advisor, Financial Aid to perform Return to Title IV calculations, post-withdrawal disbursements, and ensure timely return or disbursement of Title IV funds across multiple campuses.
You will assist students and families in understanding aid eligibility, scholarships, grants, loans, and state financial aid programs, while supporting verification, SAP, packaging, work-study, and other aid processes during peak periods.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director (AD), thisposition will perform Return to Title IV (R2T4) calculation, PostWithdrawals Disbursements (including reporting students to theNSLDS), adjusting aid, run R2T4 queries, maintain database andreport productivity stats. In collaboration with the AssistantDirector and R2T4 Senior Specialist, review and update (as needed)policies and procedures, and consumer education materials,including website, financial aid publications, R2T4 notificationsand training manuals to meet federal/state and refund requirements.Ensure Title IV funds are returned/disbursed within regulatorytimeframe.
The financial aid Advisor works directly with students to and theirfamilies to enhance their understanding of responsibilities as afinancial aid recipient. In addition, the advisor will alsocommunicate program eligibility rules to students and familieswhich encompasses scholarships, grants, work study employment,student loans, and state financial aid programs.
The incumbent will also support other operations of the officewhich includes but not limited to client services, verificationprocessing, satisfactory academic progress (SAP), loans, packagingand awarding, workstudy, appeals, appointments and emails, etc.This consists of helping with processing areas as needed andproviding support during high need periods. The incumbent will havebroad knowledge of financial aid and the surrounding federal, stateand institutional regulations and policies.
Administrative Faculty B - The salary is $50,207.
