University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) seeks an Advisor for TRIO Student Support Services to guide first‑generation, low‑income, and students with disabilities toward academic success and graduation. The role includes advising, workshops, and coordinating services to promote college readiness.
The position supports recruiting, partnership building, and ensuring compliance with student records, reporting, and program requirements in a busy university environment.
Advisor position exists for the purpose of advising students who are participating in the TRIO Student Support Services federal grant program. The position is expected to conceptualize, develop, and implement educational opportunities and services for students that are first‑generation, low‑income, and students with disabilities that help promote academic and decision‑making skills leading to successful college graduation and admission into four‑year institutions. This position is also responsible for assisting the Director with recruiting students, creating workshops and presenting on college success strategies, building partnerships with other departments, and maintaining compliance with student records.
