Job Description Summary

On OhioHealth’s Business Development and Market Growth team, we drive system growth by using our market expertise to identify market, care site, and system-based growth opportunities, by creating and executing new business plans, and by fostering strong provider relationships. In the Advisor role, you will support the creation and implementation of strategies and tactics aimed at developing and enhancing OhioHealth’s growth and market position through your liaison roles to a geographic territory, care site, and business unit/service line and through your support of team and system initiatives.

In that role, you will help to identify, research, and prioritize business strategies to increase volume, revenue and OhioHealth’s overall market share within your assigned region / business unit. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deeply understand OhioHealth’s core and target markets, community needs, competitor activity, footprint & volume trends, particularly within assigned geographic territory
  • Identify/explore/prioritize volume and share growth opportunities and analyze and develop localized countermeasures for volume trends
  • In partnership with liaison leaders, build program plans & develop business cases aimed at expanding OhioHealth’s physical footprint, penetration, and market share; drive growth projects through submission and approval processes
  • Develop, advise on, and help execute regional growth strategies by coordinating stakeholders, synthesizing market and organizational insights, and helping shape recommendations and action plans.
  • Collaborate with key campus, service line, and operations stakeholders on project & program development & execution
  • Drive competitive intelligence/market scanning activities for the assigned territory, helping relevant leaders understand local market activities and resulting strategic implications
  • Support the development of system-level growth strategies and recommend courses of action to senior leaders based on data analysis and market knowledge
  • Support the BDMG as assigned in the development, production, improvement, and utilization of standard work outputs, analytics, presentations, and other deliverables as required

The Advisor will play a key role on the team, with both direct leadership of projects and support for the work the team executes across the organization to drive growth. As such, the position offers the ability to learn the business development function within a successful, high-growth integrated health system, gain a high degree of exposure to senior leadership in various functions, and develop significant experience in growth strategy and business development processes.

Responsibilities And Duties

Additional Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree
Field of Study: Business, Public Health or Public Policy, Healthcare Administration

Experience: 5+ years of healthcare management, healthcare business development, consulting, or strategy experience. Some project management exposure is a plus.

Additionally:

  • Ability to apply frameworks and models to simplify and drive processes and decision-making
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills
