Advisor-Business Billing & Sales Support

Overview

As an Advisor-Business Billing & Sales Support (Remote), you will be a key contributor to TDS’ strategy to grow, delight, and retain our business customers. This contact center position investigates and resolves commercial billing concerns, working with customers and interdepartmental groups (Sales, Product Management, Legal, IT, etc.) until resolution. Typical requests include tax exemption changes, billing errors, disputes, toll fraud, and bill reprints.

The hourly rate ranges from $20-23/hr. You will serve as the primary contact for schools, libraries, rural healthcare customers, USAC, and SLD, managing reimbursement forms and requests. You will handle billing projects, audits, and order entry, supporting process improvements. You must maintain knowledge of product offerings, contact info, and activity reporting.

This remote position is available in any of the 40+ states where TDS operates, with preferences for Bend, OR; Spokane, WA; Coeur D' Alene, ID; Alamogordo, NM; Arvada, CO; St. George, UT; Madison, WI. The shift is 8am-5pm PST, 9am-6pm MST, or 10am-7pm CST.

Responsibilities
  • Manage customer billing concerns via phone, email, chat; educate customers on billing statements and online tools; investigate disputes; negotiate credits; manage expectations regarding toll fraud and billing topics.
  • Submit orders for disconnects, installs, change of liability, PIC changes, and tax exemption paperwork.
  • Answer questions regarding funding credits for e-Rate & Rural Health Care programs.
  • Process Early Termination Charges, review contracts, and communicate final calculations to the billing team.
  • Support billing projects, audits, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Associates degree or 2+ years professional experience, military service, or honorable discharge.
  • 2+ years customer service or billing experience.
  • Adherence to attendance guidelines.
Other:
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment; proficient in Microsoft Office, billing systems, and customer info systems.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills; experience in direct sales preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to build relationships; familiarity with company products/services.
