Founded by Grace A. Capobianco, DOWNTOWN is an independently owned luxury lifestyle media brand covering arts, dining, fashion, business, and community life through print, digital, social media, and multimedia storytelling.
Rooted in Lower Manhattan, DOWNTOWN has expanded its coverage to Los Angeles and Miami, reflecting the many readers who maintain homes or businesses in two or more of these three cities. Today, we cover all three markets, with approximately 65% of our editorial content focused on New York City.
DOWNTOWN also creates original photography and video and produces events with business, cultural, and community partners.
We’re looking for an Advertising Sales Representative to build client relationships and generate revenue across print, digital, social media, sponsored content, and event partnerships. You’ll manage the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closing deals, while working with our team to deliver campaigns that meet client goals.
This is a hybrid contract role based in the New York City metropolitan area, combining in-person client meetings with work-from-home flexibility.
Experience in advertising, publishing, digital media, or event sponsorship sales is preferred. An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is welcome.
This is a commission-only position with uncapped earning potential. Commissions are paid on collected revenue:
Anticipated first-year earnings: $35,000–$65,000, depending entirely on individual sales performance. This range is an estimate, not a guaranteed salary. Successful salespeople may earn more.
