Texas Local Media in Fredericksburg, TX is seeking an Advertising Sales Representative to manage an established territory and grow new business.

You will sell print and digital advertising across our portfolio, including Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post and FredericksburgStandard.com, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.

The role offers a base salary of $55,000 plus uncapped commissions with strong first-year earnings potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of advertising sales experience.
• Proven track record of prospecting and closing new business.
• Print and digital media sales experience preferred.
• Lead generation experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established portfolio of advertising clients.
• Prospect and close new business throughout the Fredericksburg market.
• Reconnect with former advertisers and identify win-back opportunities.
• Meet with business owners and other decision-makers.
• Learn each advertiser’s goals, challenges and target audience.
• Recommend customized print and digital advertising campaigns.
• Identify cross-platform opportunities to increase advertiser reach.
• Present proposals, handle objections and close business.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using our CRM.
• Collaborate with our creative, production and digital support teams.
• Meet or exceed individual revenue and activity goals.

About the Role

We are seeking an Advertising Sales Representative to manage an established Fredericksburg territory and develop new business.

You will sell advertising across a diverse portfolio that includes:

• Bespoke Digital Solutions including email marketing, programmatic advertising, retargeting and more

This portfolio provides multiple ways to help local, regional and tourism-focused businesses connect with residents, visitors and targeted digital audiences.

You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through proposal development and closing. Success requires consistent outreach, thoughtful follow-up, strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to ask for the business.

What We’re Looking For

• At least two years of advertising sales experience
• A demonstrated record of prospecting and closing business
• Print and digital media sales experience strongly preferred
• Lead-generation experience preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly with decision-makers
• Comfort with outbound prospecting and new-business development
• Organized, accountable and disciplined approach to sales
• Motivation to build a strong book of business and grow your income
