Job summary

Meta is seeking a Privacy Engineer for the Privacy Red Team to proactively identify privacy risks across Meta's apps and services. You will simulate real-world scenarios, assess data exposure, and push systemic improvements to protect user privacy at scale.

You will design adversarial assessments, develop a testing framework, and collaborate with product, legal, policy, and engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities while aligning with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of privacy engineering, security engineering, or related fields with adversarial testing focus.
• Experience designing and executing privacy or security red team assessments across large-scale products.
• Experience identifying and exploiting privacy vulnerabilities (re-identification risks, consent bypass, data minimization failures) and communicating risk.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute adversarial privacy assessments across Meta's products and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain a red team methodology and testing framework for privacy risks.
• Identify systemic privacy vulnerabilities and drive remediation with cross-functional teams.
• Define and improve privacy red team processes, tooling, and workflows for scalable testing.
• Translate complex privacy attack findings into actionable risk assessments for technical and leadership audiences.
• Collaborate with privacy engineering, security, and compliance to align findings with regulatory obligations.
• Drive long-term strategy and roadmap for privacy red team operations.
• Mentor engineers on adversarial privacy testing techniques.
• Lead coordinated responses to large-scale privacy risk escalations.
