Job summary

Williamsburg Learning seeks energetic Adventure Guides to mentor students in 6–12 on outdoor and leadership activities across Weber & Davis areas. The role emphasizes hands-on experiences, safety, and personal growth within a dynamic team.

Guides support both Outdoor and Leadership Adventures, ensuring engaging, meaningful learning and a safe, respectful environment for students and families alike.

Qualifications

• Outdoor leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to mentor youth with authenticity and enthusiasm.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Experience working with students in grades 6–12.
• First Aid & CPR certification current or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Participate in trainings for Williamsburg Adventures model.
• Facilitate 1:1 conversations and group discussions.
• Attend online and in-person trainings as scheduled.
• Travel within assigned geographic area to support programming.
• Support multiple student groups each semester.
• Assist Adventure Leads during ~10 Adventure Fridays per semester.
• Guide students, lead discussions, take attendance, assist with games.
• Arrive 30 minutes early for setup and equipment care.
• Adventures run 9 AM–3 PM and last 2–5 hours.
