Job summary

Stanford University’s Recreation & Wellness department seeks a Coordinator, Outdoor Experiential Programs to support outdoor recreation and experiential education through outfitting services, logistics, and program operations. The role covers food, equipment, transportation for field experiences, and SPOT orientation programs.

Responsibilities include leading outfitting operations, fleet maintenance, staff coordination, and program support to ensure safe, high-quality participant experiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of relevant outdoor education experience.
• Preferred demonstrated experience with outdoor education field programs and campus recreation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outfitting and logistical preparation for weekly outdoor programs and SPOT.
• Manage food purchasing, rationing, equipment preparation, and gear staging.
• Oversee program fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and driver orientation.
• Recruit, hire, and train student and contingent staff for outfitting operations.
• Support Team Development course programs and facility maintenance.
