Job summary

Lifepoint Church in Crestline, CA seeks an OE Program Instructor to lead hikes, teach lessons aligned with state science standards, and help students grow through a variety of program elements.

You will instruct groups on 3–5 day programs, lead activities such as rock wall, archery, songs, chapels, and team building, supervise overnight stays, enforce dining hall standards, travel to multiple sites, and provide first aid when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or two years equivalent experience.
• Adaptability and Godly Christian character.
• Current CPR & First Aid certification which includes an in-person training element.
• Full agreement with TM Camping’s statement of faith, mission, vision, and values.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Compliance with the employee handbook.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Instruct groups of students on 3, 4, or 5 day programs.
• Develop professional relationships with coworkers and guests (students, chaperones, teachers, and administrators).
• Teach the outdoor education curriculum, including standing, walking, hiking, in all weather conditions.
• Lead program elements including rock wall, archery, songs, games, chapels, worship, skits, dances, and team building exercises.
• Enforce dining hall standards during meals.
• Supervise a group of students overnight.
• Travel to multiple sites for the outdoor education programs.
• Attend OE team meetings.
• Provide supportive leadership when necessary.
• Assist in cleaning and inventory management.
• Provide first aid and basic health care when necessary.
