YMCA Camp Miller in Minnesota seeks a Part-Time Program Instructor/Site Staff to greet guests, ensure safety, and help run activities such as high ropes, archery, arts and crafts, biking, hiking, and field games.

The role supports camp programs, maintains cleanliness, and assists with guest needs while contributing to a welcoming, inclusive environment. This position offers growth and leadership training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes the group leader, supports at check-in, and offers tours or assistance on arrival.
• Maintains camp cleanliness according to cabin cleaning schedules.
• Restocks supplies and replaces soap, paper towels, etc.
• Empties garbage and recycling throughout the event.
• Monitors activities to ensure safety and camp policies.
• Assists with requests to enhance guest experience.
• Keeps firewood stocked at all fire circles.
• Responds to emergencies and administers First Aid/CPR, contacting EMS as needed.
• Assists in managing facilities and equipment across camp areas.
• Supports kitchen staff before and after meals.
• Instructs camp activities and leads scheduled programs.
• Supervises climbing operations (rock wall, low/high ropes).
• Manages facilities and equipment per land program areas.
• Fosters an inclusive environment and supports YMCA equity goals.

Education
