Job summary

Steve and Kate's Camps in San Francisco (5210 Diamond Heights Blvd., San Francisco, CA 94131) seeks a Field Trip Staff member to chaperone field trips, support campers, and uphold safety and well-being on activities.

The role requires being at least 16 years old, with a minimum of 2 months experience with camp-age children and First Aid/CPR before Day 1. Training may include additional certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age
• Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp-age children, with 1 year preferred
• First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp (some locations may require additional certifications)

Responsibilities

• Staff members will be responsible for chaperoning field trips, making connections, and monitoring safety and wellness. You'll travel by bus to multiple stops, all while having fun with kids.
• Actively supervising campers
• Ensure compliance with Camp Policies
• Reporting & Recording details of notable concerns or incidents, and of injuries to campers, other staff members, or self
• Keeping track and being aware of camper allergies and dietary restrictions
• Maintain and follow all safety and health rules of the location
• Organize and maintain clean and accessible activity spaces
• Assist in camp set-up and breakdown during move-in and out weekends
• Stand for long periods while supervising children and facilitating activities
• Participate in athletic games
