Job summary

Foundations Recovery Network's Black Bear Lodge in northern Georgia seeks an Activities Coordinator to lead the adventure program within a residential setting. You will supervise activities, develop plans to maximize clinical benefits, and coordinate staff and schedules with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes documentation, staff training, and confidentiality, with opportunities for growth within FRN and UHS subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy or related field preferred.
• Certified Recreation Therapist preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of adventure program facilitation and residential experience.
• Wilderness First Responder certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residential activities and adventure program activities.
• Develop and implement plans to enhance activities benefiting clinical outcomes.
• Confirm RA staff scheduling to balance quality and efficiency.
• Manage adventure and activities schedule to meet patient needs.
• Build relationships with local businesses to plan approved activities.
• Coordinate purchase requests for weekly activities and supplies.
• Facilitate therapeutic activity groups.
• Document all activities and groups.
• Provide staff training on activity processes.
• Maintain confidentiality standards for Activities staff.
