Job summary

University of South Carolina Beaufort seeks an accomplished Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement. This senior leader will plan and direct comprehensive fundraising, donor engagement, and advancement operations to support USCB’s mission and priorities.

The role includes executive responsibility for the USCB Education Foundation, major gifts, donor stewardship, and community engagement across Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, and the Lowcountry.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and five or more years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop the Advancement team, aligning activities with fundraising priorities.
• Build and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to expand donor pipelines.
• Develop relationships with prospective and existing donors across Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Beaufort, and the Lowcountry.
• Engage donors through cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, events, and strategic communications.
• Collaborate with university leadership to align philanthropic priorities with academic and strategic goals.
• Recruit, train, and motivate volunteers to assist with donor cultivation and closing significant gifts.
• Strengthen governance and ensure Advancement activities support the University’s direction.
