Job summary

The University of North Texas System invites applications for an Advancement Coordinator to provide administrative, operational, and project support to the Vice President for Advancement and the University Advancement team at UNT Dallas.

The role handles calendar management, travel arrangements, budget tracking, meeting prep, donor and alumni engagement, events, and cross‑functional coordination to advance UNT Dallas priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or four years of related professional experience.

  • Strong written, verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the VP for Advancement, including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence, travel, expense processing, file organization, and meeting preparation.
  • Supports advancement priorities by tracking deadlines, action items, timelines, meeting notes, follow-up items, and deliverables across fundraising, alumni engagement, donor relations, events, and advancement services.
  • Assists with preparation of briefing materials, reports, presentations, agendas, donor correspondence, internal communications, and other materials for the VP and Advancement team.
  • Supports budget monitoring, procurement, payment processing, expenditure tracking, and reconciliation of division-related expenses with university finance and admin offices.
  • Provides event and engagement support, including invitation/RSVP tracking, guest lists, vendor coordination, logistics, briefing materials, on-site support, and post-event follow-up.
  • Assists with advancement operations, including donor and gift-related communications, acknowledgment letters, donor documentation, basic prospect research, records updates, shared files, and other admin or project needs.

Position Overview

The Advancement Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and project support to the Vice President for Advancement and the University Advancement team. This role supports executive scheduling, communications, budget tracking, meeting preparation, donor and alumni engagement activities, advancement events, and project coordination to help advance the mission and priorities of UNT Dallas.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or four years of related professional experience.

Job Duties
