Job summary

The University of Iowa Center for Advancement (UICA) seeks an Advancement Associate within our Health Science Development team. This position provides administrative support to the Corporate & Community Development (CCD) team and manages projects with minimal oversight in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The role may require evening/weekend work for events, and offers a hybrid work option with on-site presence in Iowa City at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 6 years of administrative experience.
• Or an associate’s degree with 4 years of administrative experience.
• Or a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the CCD team, including budgeting, gift depositing, coding, calendaring, purchasing and invoicing.
• Drives projects from initiation through completion with timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Prepares and routes Statements of Gift Intent and ensures gift agreements are complete and timely.
• Plans campus or hospital visits for corporate, community, or CMN donors and supports the team.
• Executes stewardship items and awareness efforts (CMN newsletters, website, giving projects, cards).
• Creates procedures, shares best practices, and uses project management software to track progress.
• Collaborates with Events team on 7-10 events annually and provides logistical support.
