Job summary

Roush seeks a Vehicle Test Engineer II to support full-vehicle testing for durability, strength, and other performance metrics. You will plan, execute, and document tests on vehicles, ensuring data quality and adherence to procedures.

You will work with Design Engineers and customers to analyze results and refine testing methods. Located in Whittmann, AZ, this full-time role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in automotive systems, and ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering, Automotive Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizen allowing ITAR compliance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive systems design, development, or testing.
• Good understanding of powertrain and chassis system principles.
• Knowledge of fluid flow and heat transfer, systems, and components.
• Knowledge of basic programming and electronics troubleshooting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support test procedure execution for full vehicles on test track or road surfaces.
• Plan, implement, track, and document testing of full vehicles.
• Ensure test plans are adequate for validation and data meets requirements.
• Utilize data acquisition methods to support testing vehicle subsystems.
• Analyze test data and develop test procedures.
• Collaborate with customers and team members on projects.
• Provide detailed repair direction to technicians with procedures and illustrations.
• Identify needs for test hardware or software upgrades and support business cases.
• Maintain data analysis macros and programs.
• Compile test data, perform analysis, and provide feedback to customers.
