Job summary

Applied Technical Services (ATS) is seeking NDT Level II Technicians to advance into Advanced UT (PAUT) inspections. Local candidates in Chesapeake, VA or those willing to relocate within commutable distance to ATS Chesapeake are invited.

The role involves performing examinations per procedures, guiding trainees, and coordinating with managers and clients. Training and cert support are provided; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II; provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s).
• Ability to work in industrial environments and communicate with departments and customers.
• Opportunity to advance into Phased Array UT (PAUT) inspections with formal ATS training.

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
• Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and priorities.
• Prepare written instructions and organize/report results of examinations.
• Work independently and support team members; perform other tasks as assigned.
