Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) in Chesapeake, VA is seeking NDT Level II Technicians with UT Shearwave certs and PAUT experience to advance into Advanced UT PAUT roles. Local candidates or those willing to relocate within commutable distance to Chesapeake are preferred.

The role involves performing examinations to required standards, mentoring trainees, and interfacing with clients to determine scope and priorities. Training opportunities are available for UTSW certs and PAUT exposure.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II certification(s) with documentation of education, training and experience in the applicable NDT methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and comply with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
• Be familiar with scope and limitations of the methods and mentor trainees as needed.
• Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and priorities.
• Prepare written instructions and report results of examinations.
• Work independently and support team members; perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
