Job summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking an Advanced Tree Trimmer to prune and remove trees away from power lines, using climbing gear, lifts, and ground tools. You will address growth patterns, tree health, and appearance while maintaining strict safety standards.

Responsibilities include loading gear, trimming from height, rigging loads, and performing routine equipment maintenance. The role requires attention to OSHA regulations and the ability to work extended hours during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in tree trimming or clearing crews.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT medical card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs.
• Trims, removes and/or fells trees using climbing gear and ground tools.
• Works aloft to cut branches near energized lines.
• Uses ground tools to fell trees and split them into pieces.
• Ensures safety around energized equipment and supervises nearby workers.
• Applies herbicide with growth regulators to brush and maintains records.
• Maintains safety policies and educates less experienced employees.
• Repairs minor damage on the job site and escalates when needed.
• Operates equipment and traffic control devices to protect workers and the public.
• Supports emergencies or disaster duty as required.
