Job summary

A Plus Tree in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Climber to join our tree care team. You will perform technical tree climbing, rigging, and safe removal or trimming of trees of all sizes, working closely with a crew and using industry-standard techniques.

We require at least 1 year of climbing experience, the ability to lift 75+ pounds, and willingness to work weekends and overtime. Health, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, paid sick leave, and a 401(k) are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional tree-climbing experience.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
• Willing to work weekends and overtime.
• Must be 18+ and 21+ to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-climb tree risk inspections
• Use approved climbing techniques, gear, and basic rigging systems
• Move throughout the canopy without climbing spurs or supervision
• Make proper cuts aloft while following all safety standards
• Safely operate hand and power tools while in the tree
• Maintain a positive, team-focused attitude throughout the workday
• Complete daily tree care tasks within your skill level
• Follow all safety guidelines — safety is our #1 priority
• Perform other duties as assigned
