Job summary

Doble Engineering in Accident, Maryland, is seeking a Coil Winder II for our Transformer Fabrication Winding Department. The role involves operating coil winding machines to produce windings for various transformer types, attaching and trimming materials, and ensuring precise tolerances.

The successful candidate will have 2-4 years’ experience with hand and power tools and a high school diploma, with electronics coursework preferred. On-site position with potential overtime to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical coursework in electronics is preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience with hand and power tools requiring extreme attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate small or medium winding machines and learn to run the column winder.
• Independently wind transformers following instructions using coil winding machines.
• Fabricate and install coil forms onto winding machines and wind conductors.
• Install taps and insulating materials between conductor layers.
• Take resistance readings and perform continuity checks on coils.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Overtime may be required to meet scheduling requirements.
