Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to develop and deliver cutting-edge avionics solutions within the TCAS and Transponder teams. The role operates on a hybrid schedule, with on-site work required for an initial period.

You will influence system architecture, requirements and verification across multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in Systems Engineering, experience with RF products, and familiarity with aviation standards and FAA

Responsibilities

As a Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in creating advanced systems within our TCAS (Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System) and Transponder Product Team to meet the long-term evolving needs of the Aviation industry. Your systems engineering expertise will not only impact on the successful delivery of cutting-edge Avionics solutions but also contribute to the broader mission of enhancing global aviation travel, navigation and safety. You will report directly to our Director of Engineering, working out of Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

• New hires can expect to work on site for the first 90 days of employment.

In this role, you will impact the development and delivery of cutting-edge software solutions that support Honeywell’s aerospace initiatives, helping to drive innovation and maintain our leadership in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Work across disciplines, collaborating with cross-functional teams consisting of Systems, Software, Hardware and Test Engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions.
• Drive system architecture design and integration efforts for advanced aerospace electronic solutions
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and test teams to ensure seamless system performance and compliance with aerospace standards
• Drive requirements definition, risk analysis, and verification activities throughout the system development lifecycle.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 6+ years of Systems Engineering experience.

WE VALUE

• Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines
• Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.Experience in similar product domains is of value i.e. Avionics, Navigation and/or Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT).
• Master's Degree or advanced professional certification.
• Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
• Experience with RF products.
• Experience with the FAA certification process is a plus.
• Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
• Multi-tasking and ability to adapt dictated by project changes.
