Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main OR at Memorial Hermann Southwest. The full-time role runs 3pm-11pm, Monday-Friday with call required.

CST and BLS are required, and 3+ years of Main OR experience is preferred, with neuro, general, and robotics experience also favored. The position provides expert perioperative patient care, functioning as a scrub assistant under RN direction, and requires knowledge of asepsis, instrumentation, and patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certification required: NBSTSA or NCCT; BLS current.
• 3+ years of Main OR experience preferred.
• Neuro, General and Robotics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scrub assistant to the physician performing operative procedures.
• Work under supervision of a Registered Nurse and Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique and knowledge of OR equipment before procedures.
• Act as resource, preceptor and mentor to less experienced staff.
• Support unit goals and ensure safe, efficient patient care in the OR.
