Qualifications

• Req High School or equivalent.
• Req CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technician Program.
• Req 1 year experience as Surgical Technician or as a Surgical Technician intern (paid).
• Req Active CST certification (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team and manage sterile setup for procedures.
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment.
• Apply aseptic technique and correct deviations promptly.
• Anticipate needs of the team and respond during intraoperative crises.
• Maintain communication with circulating nurse regarding patient status and progress.
• Transport patients, equipment, and specimens as needed.
• Support training of students and participate in equipment evaluation and process improvements.
