Job summary

Kitchen Guard is seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our Phoenix periodontal practice. The role supports periodontists during surgical and implant procedures, prepares rooms and equipment, and ensures strict infection control while delivering excellent patient care.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of dental assisting experience, strong communication, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of dental assisting experience.
• Strong clinical and organizational skills.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist the periodontist during periodontal, implant, and surgical procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, surgical trays, instruments, and materials.
• Maintain infection-control and sterilization protocols.
• Take dental radiographs and CBCT scans.
• Assist with anesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
• Monitor and support patients during procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Ensure operatories are stocked and prepared for procedures.
• Welcome and support patients to establish rapport and comfort.
