Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fitter Fabricator to independently perform layout, fit-up, and fabrication activities based on complex blueprints. You will weld in all positions per AWS D1.1/D1.5, operate torch and plasma cutters, read fabrication drawings, and verify dimensions.

Training for AISC Layout & Fit-Up is provided; prior fabrication experience and the ability to work without close supervision are required. Drug Free Workplace and E-Verify participation apply.

Qualifications

• Proven fabrication experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Complete in-house AISC Layout & Fit-Up Training.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced layout and fit-up activities.
• Weld in all positions to AWS D1.1/D1.5 standards (1G, 2G, 3G, 6G).
• Perform MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW welding.
• Perform advanced torch and plasma cutting operations.
• Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings.
• Independently operate hand saws, mag drills, and fabrication equipment.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Assist with training junior fabricators.
