Qualifications

• Associate's Degree: 15 years relevant experience or 2 years as Development Engineer I at First Solar.
• Bachelor's Degree: 5 years relevant experience or 2 years as Development Engineer I at First Solar.
• Master's Degree: 3 years relevant experience or 2 years as Development Engineer I at First Solar.
• Ph.D. in engineering or related field with no prior work experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of functional core areas with expert knowledge in at least one area.
• Experience executing experiments in lab or manufacturing environments.
• Analytical skills to interpret data and derive conclusions.
• Ability to plan and own detailed work to meet objectives.
• Strong cross-organizational communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve solar cell efficiency, material selection, and process design.
• Apply state-of-the-art material analysis and data statistical techniques.
• Evaluate material specifications and tool/equipment specs for performance.
• Communicate with internal and external partners and support cross-functional projects.
• Mentor junior associates as needed.
• Comply with environmental, quality, safety policies and other company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adapt to changes.
