Job summary

• Functional knowledge in sputter/material science with expertise in at least one area.
• Hands-on experience in execution of experiments in laboratory or manufacturing environments.
• Analytical skills to interpret data and derive conclusions.
• Ability to plan detailed objectives with a strong sense of ownership.
• Good communication across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve solar cell efficiency, material selection and process/equipment design through engineering, scientific or empirical methods.
• Apply state-of-the-art techniques for material analysis, statistical data analysis, or experimental planning; develop work plans with clear solutions.
• May determine material or tool specifications for improved performance.
• Coordinate within the organization; support cross-functional projects and take ownership of sub-deliverables.
• May direct hourly staff and coach them.
• Comply with Environmental, Quality, Safety policies.
