Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking Snowmakers for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 to produce high-quality snow for terrain operations. You will operate snowmaking equipment, maintain pumps and guns, and support daily operations to ensure optimal conditions for guests.

Starting wages range from 25.25 to 30.61 per hour with housing availability. This full-time seasonal role requires outdoor work in alpine environments and flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures.
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks.
• Assist snowmaking lead with day-to-day operations.
• Understand and operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, manual and automated snowmaking guns.
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks while unsupervised.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Starting Wage: $25.25/hr - $30.61/hr

The expected pay range is$25.25/hr - $30.61/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
