Job summary

Maintain a clean, safe shop and follow contamination control guidelines. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and certifications (3G/4G SMAW, FCAW, GMAW).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3-4 years welding and fabricating experience.
• Must possess thorough knowledge of safety requirements and procedures related to welding.
• 3G and 4G SMAW, FCAW, GMAW welding certifications required.
• Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles and assembles machine components per manufacturer specifications.
• Performs welding and fabrication repairs as per experience or procedures.
• Interprets structural drawings and prepares parts or materials for welding.
• Maintains safe, clean work area and follows contamination control guidelines.
• Documents repairs and tracks repair times using appropriate software.
• Monitors job expenses and communicates cost overruns to supervisor.
