Job summary

Ring Power Corporation, a Caterpillar dealer, seeks a skilled technician to perform fabricating tasks safely from start to finish. You will interpret drawings, operate welding and cutting equipment, assemble parts, and document work accurately.

You will train others as needed, monitor costs, and support supervisors with quoting. A strong safety mindset and 5–6 years experience are expected, with a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-6 years of experience required.
• Able to comprehend written material and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Completed required training to be designated Service Fabricator A.
• Proficient with a computer, Microsoft Office, and dealer software.
• Re-training every 1-2 years to stay current.
• Job requires problem solving and creativity.
• Autonomy with defined objectives; discretion in how work is done.
• Work may include nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interpret or develop engineering drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and tooling requirements.
• Operate welding, cutting systems, presses, rollers, shears, and related equipment.
• Verify conformance of finished work to specifications; fit/assemble parts as needed.
• Document work performed using appropriate software.
• Set up and perform a job from start to finish with minimal supervision; monitor costs.
• Assist supervisor in quoting jobs and managing expenses.
• Train or mentor others; may assume supervisor role temporarily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
