Job Summary: The Advanced Sensor Products Value Stream Leader (VSL) is responsible for all manufacturing related activities within a production environment. The Value Stream Leader personnel will be tasked to define clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, reporting, and collaborate with functional support employees to allow for continuous manufacturing of line-flow or end-item products. Additionally, the VSL personnel will be accountable for Manufacturing build status, reporting to Factory and Program Management leadership. The successful VSL candidate will be the liaison of manufacturing activities between multiple sites and driving program focus manufacturing activities located onsite in Plano, Texas. This will require spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas and work with factory personnel. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in manufacturing guidance role.

What You Will Do:

  • Site Leadership interface and interactions
  • Schedule, Quality and cost performance management of responsible work areas
  • Interface with support employees including planning, engineering, quality, program operations and other Value Stream Leaders across other plants
  • Perform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow
  • Prioritizes project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements
  • Identifying systemic issues; driving to root cause and sustainable corrective and preventative actions
  • Ensure compliance to all pertinent operating procedures, organizational directives and work instructions

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University degree and a minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
  • Experience working with Manufacturing, Operations, or Supply Chain.
  • Active and transferrable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Six Sigma principles/certification
  • Knowledge of quality practices and instructions
  • Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Knowledge of existing Raytheon execution systems (PRISM, SAP, CMES)
  • Experience developing solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Experience sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations related to specific portion of the product.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and control tools

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
