Job summary

TSMC Arizona seeks a Construction Mechanical Piping Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced piping systems in a state-of-the-art semiconductor fab. Responsibilities range from basic joining to leading teams, with strict adherence to safety and cleanroom protocols.

The role requires reading P&IDs and blueprints, performing tests, and coordinating with multiple trades. Travel overseas may be required for training; on-site work in Phoenix, AZ is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical piping install/maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, schematics.
• Familiarity with welding, brazing, mechanical coupling for pipe joining.
• Knowledge of HVAC/utility piping standards.
• Willingness to travel overseas for training.
• Adheres to safety and cleanroom protocols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and stand long hours.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain mechanical piping systems with proper routing and connections.
• Cut, thread, join, and bend pipes using welding, brazing, fittings.
• Read technical diagrams and P&IDs to ensure proper installation.
• Conduct pressure and leak testing and inspections for safety.
• Troubleshoot piping issues during installation and operation.
• Assist with material handling, equipment setup, and cleanup.
• Maintain records of installations, repairs, inspections.
• Collaborate with electrical, structural, process piping, HVAC teams.
• Participate in on-the-job and classroom training to develop skills.
• May lead and supervise teams, manage schedules, mentor others.
