Job summary

Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado seeks a Part Time Respiratory Therapist (RRT Advanced) to support special clinical projects and provide advanced cardiopulmonary care under physician prescription. This role serves as a resource to CRT staff and may assist with day-to-day operations, change management, and engagement.

The RRT Advanced will assess cardiopulmonary status and communicate care plans, mentor staff, and help implement department protocols.

Qualifications

• NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program is required.
• RRT certification required.
• Advanced credential preferred (ACCS, NPS, AE-C, SDS, CPFT, RPFT).
• Current state Respiratory Therapy license required.
• BLS certification required; PALS/ACLS/NRP may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Assess cardiopulmonary status via exam, history, and therapy responses.
• Independently perform majority of procedures and participate in program initiatives.
• Mentor and represent Respiratory Care Services; support department projects.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with legal requirements.
• May float to other departments and be on-call as needed.
