Job summary

Ampla Health Chico is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant Extended Functions II to support chairside and circulating duties under the Chief Dental Officer in Chico, CA. This full-time role requires CA RDAEFII licensure, strong lab skills, and the ability to perform four-handed dentistry across endodontics, surgery, pedo, prostho and restorations.

The position emphasizes compliant imaging, patient education, charting, and coordinating patient plans to help meet production goals in a community

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be licensed RDAEFII in California.
• Five years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant/RDAEFII.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Radiation Safety Certification or completion of an approved radiation safety course.
• Must have a valid CA X-ray license, coronal polishing and Sealant Certification.
• Valid CA driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance as required by CA state law.
• Familiar with dental terminology, materials, medications and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform four-handed dental assisting duties for endodontics, oral surgery, pedodontics, prosthodontics and restorations.
• Take impressions for crowns, bridges, space maintainers, orthodontic appliances and occlusal guards.
• Place, contour, finish and adjust direct restorations and indirect restorations.
• Take final impressions for tooth-borne removable prosthesis.
• Perform charting and document exam findings in patient records.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and preventive dentistry under supervision.
